I find that school districts working with Apple are installing or experimenting with iPads all over the country. On the whole I believe that this is good, and will get better, but as I discuss in my book and writings, there is much yet to be done to align technology better to the needs of kids and family life.

As a practicing veteran Chicago child psychiatrist, I invented ZillyDilly for iPad for parents and teachers to better align technology to family life and children’s needs by child proofing the internet and vetting each site for appropriateness to age group and child development. I believe that parents and teachers need to be enabled with good tools and the unmatched diversity of curated free resources online be as available as any app for parents and teachers to give to kids.
Often, teachers don’t know how to manage kids on iPads, especially online, to get the best benefits of the internet. We are a lean startup, and just launched the app. I would appreciate your perusal and review,
